Summary

The Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all

employees of the organization. This includes ensuring that payroll transactions comply with all applicable

tax laws and regulations, creating and maintaining employee compensation details on the payroll system,

and following up with outsourced manpower providers to ensure prompt processing of contract staff

salaries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Ensure that the administration of compensation for the organization complies with prevailing tax

laws and regulations.

● Create and ensure the accuracy and integrity of staff compensation details on the payroll system.

● Ensure accurate and timely processing of staff salaries and benefits.

● Follow up with outsourced manpower providers to ensure prompt processing of contract staff

salaries.

● Prepare and ensure timely processing and remittance of all payroll-related deductions (e.g.,

PAYE, pension contributions, etc.).

● Maintain and update payroll records as needed.

● Generate and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders.

● Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies.

● Provide payroll support to employees and managers.


Qualifications and Requirements

● First degree or its equivalent in Business Administration or any other relevant discipline.

● Professional certification in HR Management (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), etc.) will be an advantage.

● Minimum of 3 years experience in payroll and HRIS management.

● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Proficient in the use of payroll software and HRIS systems.
